Spire Capital Partners recently launched in South Africa, offering investors broad range of real estate products - from property funds to segregated portfolios, individual property investment opportunities, and development acquisition opportunities. Spire Capital Partners forms a division of Spire Property Solutions, a company with a strong track record in the assembly and management of property funds, having previously listed two funds on the JSE and offering a broad selection of property investments to private, institutional, and corporate investors.
The Spire Capital Partners management structure brings with it several decades of combined property and investment experience. Marc Edwards (until recently CEO of Tower Property Fund - and a director and shareholder of Spire Property Group) is also serving as executive director of Spire Capital Partners, bringing his long-standing experience in property fund management and extensive industry network. Other directors include industry veterans Bruce Kerswill and Keith Craddock.
"Investors are expecting a lower-growth environment in the future, and are therefore tending to shift from growth assets, which have dominated for the past 20 years, into income-based assets, including property," says Spire Property Group MD, Bruce Kerswill. The CEO position at Spire Property Solutions (SPS) has been taken over by Rob Surgison. Surgison has been Chief Operating and Finance Officer at SPS for the last ten years, joining Spire as a Business Analyst in 2004. He has a deep-rooted understanding of the operational business and is intent on optimising the quality of service to clients, as well as accelerating the growth of SPS's diversified business. "I'm enjoying the challenge. We've got great people and excellent IT systems and are on a significant growth path!" says Surgison.
Spire Property Solutions services include property management and administration, property broking (with an expert team of brokers rapidly establishing a national presence in the industry), and a newly established Corporate Real Estate advisory division developing a solid reputation for the cost savings it delivers for corporate tenants
